In November 2020, I was fired from my banking job during the pandemic. Instead of feeling crushed, I felt free. I promised I would never go back to a 9-to-5 again.

Thirteen months later, I was robbed at gunpoint. One man said “Let’s shoot him.” The other said “Nah, just take his stuff.” My car was found days later riddled with thirteen bullets.

That moment forced me to face the brutal math: if they had killed me, I would have left nothing behind. No book. No legacy. No body of work. I rededicated my life to Christ and committed to a path of purpose, service, and excellence.
